22/365: Highlighters

Our mentors told us at the beginning of the year that we would have a hard time reading after law school because we'd be constantly trying to highlight--not based on whether we found something of note, but just based on force of habit.

I prefer pink and blue and purple. Purple are case names and statutes. Blue is main ideas. Pink is details.

My favorite pens themselves are discontinued, but I managed to find some on eBay. Sanford Liquid Tank-Style Highlighters, with a dual-chisel tip and a nice fat barrel so your fingers don't cramp.

23/365: Balloons

Perfect icon!

I have issues with balloons popping, but that's not for this project. I like pretty bouquets of helium-filled balloons that are fresh and perky. Definitely not Mylar balloons, though. Those are just tacky. Or the little ones on sticks--which are weird.

I know they pollute the air when you set them free and they pop way up there in the sky, but sometimes when I'm driving between home and school along the city edges I'll see one up over a car dealership, having escaped bondaged servitude and grasped temporary freedom.
